Faux finishing

Once a while in the weekend,  I will join art club or art workshops.
This is a faux finishing class I attended yesterday. Can you believe I made these? Aren't they look fantastic?

Raised plaster- Create design as the hearts in plaster,, or use stencil- base red, let dry completely, dry rub with different red and gold paint

Crackle - Base black, let dry, apply crackle medium, let dry , apply top layer of paint, wait.

Alcohol resist with salt - base red, let dry.  Then mix black with glaze medium and water to a light cream consistency, paint over red, and quickly apply alcohol drops followed by salt.

Alcohol resist- Tortoise - base golden yellow, let dry, mix black, brown and red with glaze medium and water to a light cream consistency, paint over yellow, quickly before it dries, apply alcohol drops.

Textured- Elephant Skin- Glued down wrinkled tissue paper, let dry completely, base black, dry rub progressively lighter shades of dark blue to white.

The following are my instructor Chantal's beautiful pieces. She is an amazing teacher, not only because she is good at painting, but because of her positive attitude in art. For her, no painting is bad, giving time and patience, everybody can be a great artist!
