Costa Maya

Costa Maya is a small fishing village on the Caribbean Coast of Mexico. Away from the nice cruise dock pier and area, there is primative nature field and jungle. Obviously, this is a newly developed site for cruise companies.

We took a bus for 10 minutes and arrived in the beach village Majahual. There were souvenir stores along the beach, but not much to buy. We walked around, found a table among many restaurants, drunk some coconut, eat some snacks, and swam. We also used the Kayak boat belong to the owner of the restaurant, and had some fun in the ocean.

We did not go further, but stayed on the beach and played the whole day. Lily found a lot of bottle caps in the sand and she ended up collecting a lot of them. We had a little bag of these on the beach. Back on our cruise, we started to ask all bar tenders to save it for us. This was a fun job for her!

The whole night, we were washing bottle caps, dry them and sort them on the towls in our bedroom. We were so excited to find new design and new brand names and we cheer out!

There are a wide range of selections of bottle caps. It is such a fascinating hobby to have. I think that's the most meaningful thing we did in Costa Maya.
