Mexico D.F. trip with Sissy

Sissy and I went to Mexico city for one week this March. She is a fashion designer, my best friend,

The main reason for us to visit Mexico is to hunt for fabrics and decorative items.

We walked on the streets of Polanco, Zona Rosa and Condesa areas. We visited museums, galleries and artist studios. We also went to Mercado Insugentes, Mercado Goyoacan, and Mercado ciudadela. We bought so much stuff that we had to pay for our extra suitcases at the airport!

I am posting some of our photos here first. If I have time, I will tell you some interesing stories later. :)

Vegas, Vegas

I've been to Vegas many times in summer. It was Hot Hot Hot!

It occurred to me that it might be a good idea to be there in winter, so this Christmas we did it!

The weather was sunny and mild. It gave us a lot of chance to walk outside. Except walking along the strip, we went to city centre and outlet mall. We also went to circus circus many times because there were a lot of games for kids.

My favorite hotel is Wynn/Encore. The floor of the building is so colorful, creative and interesting that I walked there many times. I stayed there alone for hours, kneed down watching, touching, admiring them, fascinated and amazed by them! If you were there, you would see a crazy lady bent down here and there, taking hundreds of photos of the floor!

A little paradise

The house is located on the top of a mountain close to Orange County. Its backyard looks over a long wild valley. On sunny days, we can see snow covered mountains under the clear blue sky. The Mexican style swimming pool and Jacuzzi is my favorite place for killing my time.

I wanted to go into the valley for hiking. My friend did not like the idea because there were wild animals. One night, when we had a walk out side of the house, we saw a long poisonous snake.

It is an idea place to spend vacations for a lazy person like me.

Disneyland again!

When a kid visits L.A., he/she will always go to Disneyland, no matter how many times she/he has been there already. That's what happened to my princess.

This time, she was able to take more rides than last year. Apart from what we did before, we rode Splash Mountain, Indiana Jones and Canoing.

We were amazed by their Halloween Celebration. People were crowded and they were singing and dancing with loud music. There was a big moon suspended in the sky, and it changed color along with the melody. The climax of the celebration was a firework display at the end. Unfortunately, we were too tired to stay till midnight for another celebration.

Sunny L.A.

It is luxury for us to enjoy the beautiful sunshine in L.A. while snow started falling down in Canada.

I stayed at my middle-school classmate's villa for 8 days. All what I did was sleeping, reading, cooking and enjoying the sunshine.

Hiking on the Rockies

September is the best season for hiking, especially for people who lives close to Rocky Mountains.

The weather was fantastic for outing, not cold, not hot. Air was very fresh, and mountains looks very warm and welcoming.

We walked on a small trail along a creek. Water was chill but we wanted to put our feet inside.

It's so good to be closed to nature!

Last camping before winter

Somebody says there are two seasons in Canada: July and winter. The short summer makes us getting out more and enjoying the maximum of the sunshine.
In order to catch up with the last camping plan, we bought 3 more sleeping bags, rating 0 degrees. Then, we were on our way to Provincial Park with 10 other families.
We played hard. It was our farewell party to summer.
